Thunder Mountain Rescue Ranch

It’s a Goat? An Antelope? Nope. It’s a Giraffe..

Antilocapra Americana: The American Goat-Antelope. It’s not a goat, and not an antelope although it’s latin name seems to suggest.
“The Antilocapridae are a family of artiodactyls endemic to North America. Their closest extant relatives are the giraffids[1] with which they comprise the superfamily Giraffoidea.” (Giraffes)

So, we refer to them as Speed Goats (because they are the fastest land animal in North America) but they are more closely related to the Giraffe family than the antelope family.
